STATE CHAMPS BABY!!!!!

FRESHMEN
SOPHMORES
JUNIORS
SENIORS

I think all these pics speak for themselves.. i don't need to narrate anything! I am so so proud of my girls.. I knew from the beginnin of this year that they had the talent, dances, and costuming to be state champs-- it was goin to be all up to them to see if they wanted it the most and if they showed up to dance. Did they ever!!! It was was one the best days ever ( next to my wedding day, jake coming home, and paisley being born.. and many more)... They deserved it so much also. We have had some trials this year but we got through them and become a stronger team because of it. It was so crazy this year cause we didn't just have 1 team that was competition there were about 7 other teams besides us and cedar that were awesome also so it made winning that much more fun to. At the awards we had takin a 1st in Military.. 1st in Dance.. and a 4th in Kick--- we were so scared for kick but we actually tied for 1st with Cedar and they got a 1st in Kick.. 2nd in Military,, and a 3rd in Dance- so what it was goin to come down to was rankin points.. which I freakin hate but we ended up winnin by 3 points so it was freakin awesome!!! I wasn't goin to put this on here but I have to.. I freakin peed my pants and I had no idea until the cheerin had almost stopped.. haha I have a picture of it but decided not to post it haha.. it was also so fun cause my 2 sisters dance for Millard and they ended up takin state also.. they have also had quite the year but at the last minute they changed routines and costumes and won it! Wahoo!! I love the pic with my team and millard with our trophys.....last year we both took 2nd so we got a 2nd placers picture to.. I could go on  and on about things that happened this year- the good and that bad- but I think i will leave it at that:) So proud of these girls and I'm goin to miss these girls so so much. As most of you know I will not be doin it next year cause we will most likely be moving but i'm so glad I got to know these girls.. i love them with all my heart! Congrats Talons!!

Cousin K-

Someone I love left this life yesterday.
My heart aches for his family, my family.
Life isn't easy, life isn't fair, but it is a beautiful thing.
And so I'm glad that it continues and that it gets better.
Here or there, life gets better.

I'll miss you!!

HER special day*

Today was Paisley special day. Jake had the opportunity and I'm so so glad that he was worthy of his priesthood to be able to take part in that. I am so grateful for the priesthood in my life and for how its blessed me personally, my family growing up, and my family now. Jake did such a good job and said some really unique things instead of just your norm. He blessed her that she might be able to have the strength and ability to be a good example to those around her, to grow strong and be healthy, that she will marry in the temple and that she will know its right and to take the temple covenants and live up to them and keep them, he also blessed her that she may know that her parents love her very much and that she may always be able to feel that love. So so good!! She did so good through the whole thing and didnt make a peep. Were so grateful for everyone that came and supported us. All our family had to drive long distances so were thankful for them and for everyone who brought food. Were so blessed to have the families that we do. I'm so glad it was such a great day- one that I will never forget. We missed you Ryan & Bri and the Cox Family!!

Grandpa Jack*

Jack Gail Madsen 1928 ~ 2011 Jack Gail Madsen, 83, passed away on January 29 , 2011 in Salt Lake City. He was born on January 4, 1928 in Manti, Utah to Parley Christian Madsen and Miranda Jensen. Jack graduated from Manti High School and Utah State University. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Lois Greaves, September 9, 1949, in the Manti LDS Temple. Jack owned and managed "Madsen Livestock," a sheep and farming operation in Christianburg, Utah. Jack enjoyed serving on many local and state boards and committees: Gunnison Irrigation, Jaycees and Lions Club, Sanpete County Road Committee, Utah Woolgrowers board of directors, Utah Farm Bureau board of directors. He received many awards state and local throughout his life. Jack loved traveling and spending time with his family, especially at the Madsen cabin and Lake Powell. Jack was a member of LDS church. He was preceded in death by siblings; Edna, Clay, Dorothy, Reva, Beth and daughter, Michelle (Bret Ashton). Survived by his wife Mary Lois; Children: Russell, Dale (Sunee), David (Debra), Diane (Allen), Jenene (Mark) Scott (Kerri). 34 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; sister Jean Frischknecht. The family is especially grateful to the doctors and nurses who provided such loving care at the Burn Center, University of Utah Hospital. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Mayfield from 6 to 8 and on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30. Burial will be in the Mayfield Cemetery.

As you can see from all the pictures- we celebrated the life of Jake's grandpa Jack. I could seriously spend all week talkin about grandpa Jack and the life that he lived- although I have only known him for 4+ years I have been able to get to know him and the person he is. Such a BEAUTIFUL funeral. All the grandkids got to sing "Teach me to Walk in the Light" and after each verse with music still playin one of the grandkids would go up and tell a story of grandpa. Best musical number ever heard at a funeral. You could feel the spirit so strong that day. It was so fun to be around all the family and to meet cousins and uncles that I never have before- Grandpa Jack will be missed by so many- I was lookin at his Salt Lake Tribune Obituary and I was readin the comments that people wrote about him and there was people in different states that would write something. He was a well known man and had so many friends. About a month ago Grandpa got burned really bad so he has spent the last month at the Burn unit up in Salt Lake. Everything was goin great and he had such a good attitude and then a light switched and he was in critically condition and the docs were givin him no longer than 5 days.. So I'm so glad that Jake and I decided to journey on up to see him before he went. He was in so much pain and everyone that went in that room just wanted him to feel better and to not suffer anymore. One of the days when he was somewhat awake he told Grandma Lois what an amazing women she is and that he couldn't have asked for a better wife and mother for his kids and then he finished with "Lois, your the love of my life".. BAAAAAAAA so cute huh!! I seriously want to get a vinyl on my wall quotin him.. I am so grateful for the gospel. I am so glad of the opportunity that we have to be able to see our loved ones again and get to be with them. That is huge to me. I don't know why anyone would take that for granted... We love you Grandpa Jack. We know you are where you need to be. Until we meet again:)

Whats up??!

What have we been up to you ask?? Well since all of my spare time is either with Pais or my lovely drill girls- and Jake? HOMEWORK and living at the school for about 12 hours a day:(
little pais is getting SO BIG! She is so so fun right now !
These are some of my favorite things she does lately ( 2 months old might I remind  you)
-She smiles so much and when she first sees me after she wakes up in the morning she always greets me with the biggest grin-- melts my heart everytime.
- I love the noises she makes with her binky
-she has recently been suckin her hand when she gets hungary or when her binky falls out she relys on her little hands
- she sleeps 4 hours before we have to get up with her but when we do she goes right back to sleep after she is fed
-I love her burps..i love burping her cause she usually just gives one loud one
- she never spits up.. she might have a little spit up on her mouth sometimes but hardly ever
-She eats almost every 2 hours unless she is taking naps
                                                       -she LOVES to be held:)....:(
-she loves her changing table and loves gettin her diaper changed
-her eyes are startin to change to more of a blue
-she doesn't like to swing in her swing nor her bouncer for more than about 20 min
-sometimes all she wants to do is just lay on her back and kick her legs and look around
-she has been to more dance competitions and solos night than any other newborn I know
-Never really got bad baby acne just a few here and there
-she did so good for her shots and April was the fastest ever.. THANKS APE!
-I gave her her first little owie the other night from a stupid popcorn bag that i didnt even eat cause I burnt it!!! I was holdin her and I went to look in the bag and it accidently touched her leg and left a little blister.... tear-
-she loves to touch her binky while its in her mouth
                     -  she is 9lbs 4 oz and 22 inch long-- and gettin bigger everyday!
Love this baby more then anything- jake is SUCH A GOOD DAD! I'm so lucky that he gets to know her and the things that she does almost more than I do- i'm so glad she gets to spend time with her dad. We both have so much fun with her and when she does somethin different or funny we have to inform each other right away-- PURE BLISS!

The other half of my time- is with these LOVELY ladies. Boy do I ever love them! We have had such a great, successful year! Region is this weekend and state is next weekend and we are all so pumped! They want it soooooo much this year to take state and they have all winning routines this year- we just gotta leave it up to the judges!! I'm so glad at how positive they have been and every morning they do a cheer and say why they want to take state so bad.... I am really goin to miss seeing these girls every morning and every day ( sometimes 2 a day) even though sometimes I want to rip all their hair out they have been nothin but awesome this year.. So grateful I get to be apart of this program and with THESE girls. I love you Talons.. you bring me a different happiness that no one else can! Now get on the dance floor and kick some major BUTT!! Its YOUR turn:)

Thats about all thats been goin on in our lives--- When drill is over I will have somewhat of a life again and Jake will have a wife again... i would say and Paisley to but she tags along with me alot to some practices so daddy can study!

companion as his greatest asset and
treats her accordingly;
where there is a wife who looks upon
her husband as her anchor and strength.

forgiveness and patience,
Love,
