Trip to Arizona

Mckell had several days off so she invited me to get away from freezing utah and head to the warmness of surprise,az to visit Jennie and her family. I was a little worried at first cause I have never been on a trip that long with both kids ... I put myself to the test and before I knew it we were on our way... The kids did great but it helped that we left at 4 am so they would sleep a lot of the way! They really did great though... We got there bout noon on a Thursday and it was so nice to let pais loose outside to play where it was warm! We had so much fun goin to the park, feeding ducks, spring training game, celebrating mason and mckells birthdays, basketball games, piano recitals, trampoline place, and just enjoying Jennie's home and playing outside riding bikes . Jennie is always such a great hostess and its always so hard to leave a nice warm vacation like that but it was good to get back home to jake!

Life as of Late

Hello Blogging world! If there still is anymore! Its been bout a month since I have posted so here are a few of my favorite pics taken lately that i just cant forget about!

Life is a little crazy these days! Some days I am grateful if I can get my teeth brushed;) I feel like I can never get on top of things but I wouldnt trade my life for anything right now...Briggs and Pais are both at such fun ages so here is a little bout them that I most certainly dont wanna forget!

Briggs (almost 6 months)-- i am so in love with this baby boy of mine! i love my relationship that i have with him...not goin to lie but this boy LOVES HIS MAMA! When jake is holdin him and I'm walkin around coming in and out of the room he will just stare me down and watch my every move..i love it! He makes me feel like a million bucks! He is such a happy, pleasant baby..His smile just kills me...There is something bout his eyes and his lips that are unforgettable . He loves to be held but he is also good to just lay on the floor and play. He is really big into grabbing anything and everything in his reach. He can roll over really good from his stomach to back but hasnt quite mastered the back to belly yet. Its so funny having a second kid cause with Pais I was always excited for the next steps in her young life..but Im just enjoying Briggs instead of wishing away the days...Im in no hurry for him to sit up or crawl..but I will admit I was pretty excited to start solids with him. He absolutely hates it and I dont know what to do,,just feed him a little bit so he starts to like it and get use to it. As far as the night he goes to bed about 9- 9:30 and wakes up at 5 to eat then goes back to sleep until bout 8-9.. He loves to sleep in his belly which I know is a huge No No but he hates sleepin on his back so I just watch him like a hawk! His first little months of life were really hard.. its kinda a blur to me to be honest but he is so much better at night and I literally think Zantac saved my life and marriage haha..Briggs is soooooo much better having given it to him.. What would we do without modern medicine.. I will never know! Also.. briggs HATES his car seat! Which is soooo different from Pais.. the second we put her in she would sleep.. the whole way.. whether it be 1 hour of 7 hours! That unfortunately is not the case with Briggs.. the second we put him in he screams..I think he is gettin a slight little better but not much..but you think with as much driving as we do he would just buck up and take it like a man.. nope so sometimes he just has to cry.. its good for them right? I love my little buddy so much.. When Pais was around this age we were gettin ready to leave for a cruise... i can not imagine leaving him for that long now.. I thought it was suppose to get easier to leave your kids the more kids you have but thats not the case for me.. and maybe its because I nurse him and I didnt with pais so I don't know..crazy I tell ya!

Paisley ( 2 years + 4 months)
Oh boy do I love this girl.. Yes we butt heads most of the time but I love her to pieces and cant imagine one second of my life without her in it... Jake and I are constantly laughing at the things shes doin and we know it will only get funnier from here on out. She is talkin a lot but most the time we have no idea what she is saying.. I have stressed out a lot over not being able to understand her cause alot of kids her age are sayin full on sentences but everyone tells me that she will wake up one day and I will wish that it didn't happen so fast.. They say that they are observing right now and they literally will just start talkin so I am not goin to worry anymore..She is starting to look and act alot more like me now (as I am told).. not sure if that is a good or bad thing. She loves to dance and sing.. tease.. tickle.. all of the above. She loves her daddy and when he leaves for work she will walk around the house saying "jake"....lookin for him and its the cutest thing ever!  In the morning we will be layin in bed and she will come skip/runnin into our bedroom and just gives us the biggest hugs ever.. When Im up before her (which almost never happens) she will run to me and give me one of those hugs where she wraps her whole arms around my neck like twice and I LOVE IT! also makes me feel like a million bucks. Man does this girl have a love for sweets.... anywhere we go she can sniff out sugar and crayons like I have never seen before.. for awhile there I had a really hard time with the stage she was in cause I feel like she didn't understand why she couldnt have more cookies and what not but she is starting to understand and things are alot better. I have really been wantin to potty train her but I just havent bitten the bullet yet.. whats the hurry right? haha My goal is before summer cause my parents said at Christmas that they are goin to take potty trained kids and up for a few days to the cabin so thats my goal so she can go:) She helps out alot with briggs and when she sees his bottle or blanket or toy she will stop what she is doin and run it over to him.. melts my heart! She has also been playin "Peek a boo" with him and that also makes me melt! They will laugh with each other in the car and entertain each other which I just love. They already have such a special bond!

As for us-- I am just busy tryin to keep these kids alive and have a nice, warm meal for jake when he gets home from work.. Those are my duties right now! I have been busy doin projects galore for the house and it feels so good to get them done. Jake has been so busy at work these days and has some exciting things coming his way. He got promoted to be the art director for the US and if things go really good then he will be in charge of all the other countries that the company is in also.. He is seriously the perfect person for it.. He is such a hard worker and is constantly thinking about the next project at work..I love the people he works with and they all get along so good and are all great, real members of the church! We are loving our new ward and house but not so much the snow.. we have got dumped on this year and the lake effect doesnt help us at all but I guess we better get use to it:) Also we just got called to teach the 4 year olds in primary. We switch with another couple so we still get to go to RS and Sunday school every other Sunday..and we have a small primary so we only have 2 girls and they are as cute as can be.. World Peace!

Briggs blessing

Briggs blessing could not have been more perfect! Jake did an absolute amazing job!I immediately got emotional the moment we walked into the church.. I was really stressed out for Paisleys that i didnt invite the spirit so with briggs thats all i could think about..and man it was there!  I was so grateful for all the people that traveled far to be there..meant so much to me! After the blessing it was fast and testimony and so I went up and bore mine and pretty much just cried the whole time.. the spirit was so strong.
Briggs was blessed on January 6, 2013 in the Bountiful Val Verda 4th ward. He was blessed as Briggs Jacob Dyreng by his daddy Jake Dyreng. Some of the things Jake blessed him with was..
*That he would live a happy, healthy life
*He would be an example to others and uplift others
*He would serve an honorable mission
*When the time comes that he may be able to find someone that he can take to the temple and be married in the temple.
   * That he will be wise and honest in all of his doings.

So grateful to have a husband who honors his preisthood and that he is able to bless our children.. not just with a name but as we go along with our lives and anytime that the kids may need a fathers blessing. I'm so greatful for this gospel and for the many blessing that the lord had blessed my own personal life and my families life. On a funnier note.. Jake said we wont be having another blessing for 5 more years haha.. will see.....

2 months old

I am so ashamed of my self! I have totally neglected my blog.. and its the thing that means the most cause its my journal! I havent been posting alot cause its just much easier to upload pics to instagram and facebook right from my phone.. even though I am like the only one in the world that doesn't have a smart phone! I am goin to try and be better though.. since this is the only thing that matters and not fb ha

I cant believe Briggs is almost 2 months old. I feel like he has been here forever and at the same time I cant believe he is already here and 2 MONTHS OLD! He hasn't been weighed in like a month and a half so I am anxious for his appointment next week to see how much he has grown. He has been a great baby for the most part but definetly has his days... he has been pretty colickly lately and doesn't sleep that much which is weird for a newborn but then he will have days where he wakes to eat and then goes back to sleep... i don't know whats goin on.. and it could just be that i am still tryin to get use to having a newborn! Usually at night he gets the worst but Jake has quite the little bounce goin on and it always calms him right down..Thank goodness for daddies:) It probably is just cause Briggs is with me all day and he just needs his daddy. He has been so so smiley and it just seriously melts my heart every time he smiles at me.. He makes me feel so so special when he does. He smiled for the 1st time( well an acknowledged smile anyways and not the ones in his sleep) when he was 3 weeks old at my sister Camille. She was so happy about that:) I cant complain though cause he really is so so sweet and just has the sweetest spirit to him.

Things have been a little crazy with 2 kids. I cant even explain it and you will only know unless you have 2 kids.. If we go anywhere it I have to start gettin ready like 2-3 hours before. I try to time it so I can nurse him right before we go to.. The days seem to go by alot faster now which I love.. and I'm not tryin to wish the days away but I just love it when Jake comes home from work and everyone is pretty much happier:) If we go out of town it takes me all day to pack and then when we come back it takes me like 4 days to un pack enough to pack up again for the weekend ha.. The hardest thing yet has been tryin to figure out nursing and everything that goes with it cause I didn't with Paisley and the 2nd hardest thing has been when I am nursing him and then Pais wants something right then but I cant cause I'm nursing briggs and she just bawls until she gets what she wants.. mostly her sippy filled... but I think its good for her.. to learn patience! Some times I have tried to be wonder mom and help her while I nurse.. man its quite the sight.. but you gotta do what you gotta do! As much as nursing has been a challenge I have absolutely LOVED it! I cant believe I never went further with pais.. I nursed her for about 2 weeks and then pumped and fed her that for another month and then my milk eventually tried up.. I could never relax with her though enough for my milk to stay cause I was so so busy with drill team and stressed.. I really could have made it work but I just gave up so with Briggs I had no excuse not to give it my all and it has been so worth it.. I hope my milk can stay solid until he is a year.

We recently got family pictures and after viewing them I told Jake that I look super old.. and hes like well you have 2 kids you are old.. haha.. I guess I should still feel like I'm 20.. haha even though i am just 24.  So just a funny thing that I want to remember is just this morning I was workin out.. nothin to intense just more of a toning work out I was doin and Pais was copying my every move.. can I just tell you how hard it is to be doin push ups and she is gruntin and tryin her hardest to do what i'm doin and all i can do is just laugh haha I guess I will just be flabby forever! hahaha I need to have Jake record it one of these times cause its hilarious.

So posted above are his announcements and I am so happy with how they turned out! The front picture was takin by my good friend Sammy and it was funny cause we were at the pool in Park city and he was just layin on my laugh and she wipped out her camera and was takin pics of him and she snapped the one of him smiling and it is the cutest ever! I just had to use in even though I hadn't planned his outfit or really done his hair but it worked! And the back pictures I found off pinterest so I just took those pics and then Jake put it all together for me.. One thing I forgot to put was how much he weighed which is almost a must on a birth announcement haha woops! Don't you just wanna kiss his cute face all day long?? Me and pais sure do:)

Nanna loves her babies:)

Goin home:)

I cant believe Briggs is finally here!! His birth story is rather boring..nothing to exciting which I wasnt complaining at all. I still want to write about it for my records though.. We are so in love:)

Friday, Aug 31 I was schedued to go in at 8 that night to be induced. I wanted to have him in Sept so thats why it was late. My parents and sister Sierra met up with us around 6 and we went and ate at Sizzler.. it was so nice to go out and just relax and get somewhat filled up because I knew it would be awhile before I would be eatin again. I was suppose to call the hospital at 7 pm to make sure it was ok that I came in and they didnt have any room for me so i had to call back at 8. So we just hung around our house and talked with my parents and what not. So 8 rolls around.. call them.. still way busy call back at 9.. ok kinda frustrated! Call back at 9.. still way busy so call back at 10.. Called back at 10.. no room.. k now I just wanted to cry and I just said how bout I get a good nights rest and then come in early in the mornin instead of playin this game all night. They said call back at 11:30 and then if there still isnt' any room then they will have me come in in the morning. It was a full moon that night and was raining which they say alot of women go in to labor with it being a full moon and it was raining so thats like double! So I was hopin that 11:30 would roll around and that they would be able take me cause I just cant take it any longer and I am so anxious to meet our little guy!! They called me back at 10:30 and said COME ON IN! Best words ever! I was so excited.. Jake had to throw some things in his bag and before we left our house I asked Sierra if she would like to tag along and witness her first birth.. she was all for it and joined us. It was so fun having her there. I probably ruined her for life but she said it was such a neat, beautiful experience!
- We didn't get to the hospital til about 11:45 pm and by the time they asked me all sorts of questions they finally got me started at 1 am.. I told them I didn't want my epidural until I absolutely needed it. So we got all settled in our room and was just hangin out watchin my contractions on the screen that I wasnt feeling. A couple hours went by and they check me at 3 am and I was only at a 3+ so they decided to up my pitocin to get things moving right along. Well they came back in at 5 am and I was at a 6 and so they decided to turn the pit down cause they didn't want to me to go into labor just yet . They wanted my doctor to get a little more sleep and they didn't want to stress the baby out to much so we just basically tried to get more sleep but I was getting to excited cause I knew it was getting close. I felt so good! My contractions started to get more intense so they called the anithisiologist (?) in and he gave me my epidural but it started to go in to my blood stream so he had to take it out again and do it again... he acted like it was no big deal which i'm sure it wasn't but i just didn't want to have to go through that again even though it doesn't hurt.. i just have to mentally prepare myself haha... I hated my epidural this time though. It took away the pain which is so nice but every 15 min I kept gettin little shocks of it again and then my legs would go way numb again and then I could start to feel it wearing off and then all of a sudden I would feel them goin numb again.. every 15 minutes.. it was so annoying but I guess it was worth it to not feel the pain:) Around 8:30 my doc came in and broke my water and they she was goin to head over to another hospital and do some deliveries there and I remember thinkin .. why are you leaving I could possibly have this baby with in like an hour.. but she left and bout an hour later the nurse checked me again and said I was ready but they wanted to wait for My doc to come back and so i was just layin there at a 10 for about a half hour and Dr. Laine came in and  her and the nurse got me ready to start pushing.. Which I loved having her there to help me push cause with Pais my doc didn't come in until she was ready to come out so the nurses did everything. I pushed through 2 contractions and he was out and the most beautiful thing ever! We were so happy.. they laid him right on me and I got to hold him for a good half hour before they cleaned him or anything and I loved his smell and he was so so warm. I am so glad they let me hold him for that long. I love the skin to skin method and feel like thats why he is such a better nurser then pais was. We were all shocked to hear how big he was since pais was so small I just thought I would have really small babies but he was perfect size!! We were so anxious for Pais to come to meet her new brother and see her reaction. She didn't get it and wanted nothin to do with him. Not that she hated him but she just was not interested. She didn't show any interest until all the family left and even my mom when she came to stay with us a few days. It was so fun to have family come and meet out Briggs. We feel so blessed that he is ours and we're so glad that he is finally here and healthy and perfect as can be!! We cant wait to see what he will be like and the boy and man he will turn into:) We love you Briggs!!

July 7, 2012

I had a ton more pics to go with this post but my computer freezes up when I try to upload them so this collage will just have to do. Camille and Mikes wedding couldnt have gone any more perfect then it did! The sealin was absolutely beautiful! I am so glad I got to be apart of it and to hear the amazing words the sealer had to say. Both Camille and mike teared up and it was just precious. They are so in love and I love it:) The luncheon was so good and the Wardle family had decorated it all so cute and Mike surprised Camille by singin to her and he did so good. He sang this song that I had never heard before but it was perfect! Then on our way home from the temple it started to rain so we were kinda nervous but it didn't rain in Kanosh at all and the reception turned out to be perfect also. It really was such a perfect day.. Everything went as planned and they had a great turn out. So glad to have Mike in our family. He is such a good guy and I have no doubt in my mind that he will treat Camille better than she ever imagined. They are goin to have a good life:) Happy Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Wardle!!

To my family-

Dear sweet little Briggs of mine- I cant believe in just a few short weeks-week-days I will be meeting you for the first time. Your dad, sister, and I are anxiously waiting to hold your sweet self and wander when that time will be. As much as I am ready to be done being pregnant I am sad to see it come to an end. I have loved being pregnant with you and have enjoyed feeling your kicks and shoves and hiccups. We are so excited to see what you look like and the kind of person you will be and become and what you will do with your life. When I got this picture taken of you I was 35 weeks along and although it was a process finding a doctor since the move to Bountiful I was so anxious to get to see your sweet face again. The last time I had seen it was when I was 21 weeks and thats when we found out what you were goin to be:) Thats even the last time I had heard your heart beat. When I saw your face again at 35 weeks I couldnt help but tear up just lookin at your face... I was lucky enough to even get an ultrasound being so far along with you but we had to to make sure everything was just fine with you! You look so peaceful in this picture and your dad even said that this pic of you reminds him of your Uncle Travis when he was a baby.. will soon find out though what you really look like. I love how cuddled up and cozy you look in this picture. I am so excited for your sister Paisley to meet you and get to hold you. I am sure you have heard her many of times inside of their.. whether it was screaming at the top of her lungs, singing, jabbering, patting my belly saying "baby". I a a little nervous to how she will react to you but I know through time you guys will become the best of friends. We love you so very much and find this such a privelege that Heavenly Father such you to us and that he trusted us with one of his chosen children. Good luck for the time being in mammas belly and I hope you know how much we love you already and cant wait to meet you!!

My sweet little Pea-- where do I even begin with you. Your dad and I cant even begin to imagine our lives without you! We cant believe its already time for you to be a big sister because it just seems like yesterday we were bringin you home from the hospital. You have brought us so much joy this past year and a half and look forward to the many more years to come. Thank you for being the cute little girl that you are. Although sometime you make me wanna shave my head all of you cute smiles and words take that feeling right away! Although I am sad to see this time come to an end with you being our only child and us always being able to come to your every need I am so excited whats up a head for our little growin family. You are goin to be the best big sister ever to Briggs! Its goin to be a little crazy at first but we know you will just fall in love with him and want to help out with him all the time. Thank you for being who you are. You are constantly making your dad and I laugh and we know that will only continue on. We love you so much and we hope you never forget that. Hugs and kisses little darlin!
Dear sweet lover boy of mine- I absolutely love life with you! I couldnt be any happier then I am with you. I have loved living life with you and its been completely different then what I thought it was goin to be but only better! I am so grateful you chose me to be your wife for eterenity and the mother of your kids. You are so so good to me and treat me like a queen! I am so very grateful for how hard you work to provide for our family. I am also grateful for the many challenges and trials that we have faced over the past 5 1/2 years. Those times have really helped us grow together and I know that whatever is thrown our way we will conquer it and overcome it. Thanks for being the best dad in the world to Paisley and to Briggs thus far. I love watching you play with pais and to see her face totally light up when you walk in the door from work. I cant wait to see the things that you will teach Pais and Briggs. I don't know what I would ever do with out you in my life. Even though times get crazy and we get to wrapped up in our little parenthood life I want you to know how amazing you are to me. You still give me butterflies when I see you and still get lost in those eyes of yours. You are my everything and I cant wait to see what else is in store for us. Love you my sweetest babe!
