Easter

This year for Easter we were fun haters and just stayed home! It was hard being away from both our families festivities but it was also fun to stay home and enjoy the weekend here. On Saturday we went to navy Monroe's birthday party and they had an egg hunt there and pais was loving gettin the eggs and seeing what was in them 💰🍬🍭🐰. When we got home from there then we colored eggs and then she went on another hunt in our house to find her basket. She was so happy! She got a dump truck and net from nanna and pappa Dyreng and the some chalk, bubbles, necklace,chalk holder, new dress and shoes, and a wiggle car that hasn't arrived yet😢 Briggs got a book, new church shirt, toys for the beach and yard, and a hat from nanna and pappa. They both looked so cute in there new outfits for church!
On Sunday we went over to my Hoyt cousins house and had a nice Easter dinner there. We took grandma knott with us and she is just the greatest! It's been such a blessing living so close to her and being able to help her out with anything and really just get to know her better before its to late.. Hope everyone had a happy, enjoyable Easter !

Springtime

We have been loving this weather lately! It's so nice to have all the snow melted and to be able to work on our yard finally! I love doin yard work and I can't wait to get everything done...

Briggs man is 7 months old today! Time has passed by so quickly with him👎 but I am loving every second of this stage though.. He is the HAPPIEST baby ever! His smile literally melts me every time and I feel so so blessed to be his momma.. He has been eatin solids for about a month now and was skeptical at first but he loves it now.. His favorites are sweet potatoes, corn, peas, applesauce, and peaches. Bananas .... Not so much! He loves to be outside and entertains himself really well! He rolls around everywhere on the floor and it amazes me how fast he can roll from one place to the other.. I still get soooo many compliments on his eyes and lips.. His hair is really starting to fill in and is coming in quite blonde... The end of the summer he will most likely be a toe head.. He loves his sister to no end and gets the biggest smile and giggle when ever he sees her.. They are already the best of friends .. He takes good naps and sleeps for the majority of the night and only wakes up once to eat. I am still nursing him but just in the morning and at night and sometimes during the day mostly to get him down for his nap.. Love him so much!

As for miss pais.. Oh man I love this stage to.. Even though her whining and throwing fits get very old, jake and I are always laughin at her. She does and says some of the funniest things lately😜 she loves the movie pitch perfect.. Just the singing parts and she knows a lot of the dancing parts and songs.. So glad I have a million videos of her doin it. I started potty training today and its goin so so... Will see if she can really stick with it prof we will have to wait til she is a little older.. Maybe Briggs will be potty trained before her haha and he will to ably talk before her also lol.. She says more and more everyday and I know it's just a matter of time. She has been giving me lots of tight hugs lately and I love it.. She is so sweet and I love it when she gives me these big cheesy grins ... Both her and Briggs are growing up before our very eyes! We love them both so much and can't think of a more perfect place to be at in our Lives then where we are!

Trip to Arizona

Mckell had several days off so she invited me to get away from freezing utah and head to the warmness of surprise,az to visit Jennie and her family. I was a little worried at first cause I have never been on a trip that long with both kids ... I put myself to the test and before I knew it we were on our way... The kids did great but it helped that we left at 4 am so they would sleep a lot of the way! They really did great though... We got there bout noon on a Thursday and it was so nice to let pais loose outside to play where it was warm! We had so much fun goin to the park, feeding ducks, spring training game, celebrating mason and mckells birthdays, basketball games, piano recitals, trampoline place, and just enjoying Jennie's home and playing outside riding bikes . Jennie is always such a great hostess and its always so hard to leave a nice warm vacation like that but it was good to get back home to jake!

..."I believe in the family where there
is a husband who regards his
companion as his greatest asset and
treats her accordingly;
where there is a wife who looks upon
her husband as her anchor and strength.
The cultivation of such a home
requires effort and energy,
forgiveness and patience,
Love,
and, endurance, and sacrifice;
but it is worth all of these and more."....
