Nie Nie*

As I sit at my house after of long day of drill team and work I pretty much grow to the couch when I get home and soak up every minute with Jake . Jake is not here right now so i'm catchin up on my daily shows that I have missed throughout the week. As I am wathcin THE BIGGEST LOSER i get on and read the NIE NIE DIALOGUES . This blog has become like scripture to me. If you guys have ever heard of NIE NIE she and her husband were in a really bad plane crash and she was severly burned. I have loved reading about her journey of recovery and her new outlook on life. She has CHANGED lives! She is so positive and every post I read it never fails.... I always CRY! Lately at the end of each post she will put what she is grateful for that day. Those things are things that I take for GRANTED. She always put me in my place and gives me a new start to life every single time I catch up on her blog. If you even have a second check out her blog www.nieniedialogues.blogspot.com . She has posted several things on the side of her blog and one thing she put is a picture of the BOOK OF MORMON and above it says if you would like a free copy of my favorite book click here. Recently they showed a picture of all of her "favorite book" ready to be sent off to all the people that clicked on the button for a free book. She so inspires me. With all of her discomfort, hardship, struggles, trials and basically breathing she still makes it known to the world one of her most important things in life..... the GOSPEL! She so easily could be like why did God do this.. WHY ME? Instead she is just grateful for her second chance at life and to get to raise her kids and spend this life with her husband. I hope to be like her someday. She is my new inspiration. Thank you NIE NIE FOR NOT LETTING ME FORGET WHO I AM AND FOR WHAT I STAND FOR AND FOR WHAT I WANT OUT OF LIFE:)

A Military Miracle for Orphans in Haiti

Stay tuned for the video BELOW:)

My cousin Brittany made this video after the earthquake in Haiti occured. Her dad, Marc Platt is in the Navy and he had to go over to Haiti in 1995. Here is a little story that I got off an email from a friend in Kanosh.. " Can you remember when Marc Platt was stationed in Haiti in 1995? He sent word that an orphanage over in the mountains of Haiti didn't have any blankets, clothes, or even shoes and wanted to know if we all could help. He said it got very cold there in the mountains and the children didn't have only a little sheet to cover them at night. I was the Stake Relief Society President at the time and we decided to ask all the wards to help in this great service project. We called it "Operation Cover-up" and we ask each Relief Society Ward in the stake to get together with their sisters and try and provide some of these needed items. Well, we never dreamed it would snowball into such a great project. We had a deadline day when every ward was to bring their items to the National Guard Armory in Fillmore. I will never forget the great miracle! Trucks from the wards just kept coming full of items that had been donated by good sisters in the Fillmore Stake. The whole armory was full of clothes, coats, shoes, and quilts! It was so much bigger than we had planned on. Everyone worked and we boxed up all these items and they were put on a plane and sent to Mark Platte over in Haiti. It was one of those great experiences that I tuck away inside my heart hoping to always remember the wonderful feelings I had felt as I knew we had helped these children in a far away land find a little happiness. Marc Platte's daughter made a video clip of this and sent it at Christmas time. When I heard of the terrible earth quake in Haiti, I kept thinking of this special little orphanage where we had sent these boxes. Then Suzette sent me this video and I wanted to share it with all of you because I know you can all remember how hard we all worked to help these children. This is what the gospel is all about. Aren't we happy that we helped these special children when the call came to serve? How many times do we think we are to busy to help others? I am so thankful to all the dear people in the Fillmore Utah Stake that took the time, money, and effort to help these precious children of our Heavenly Father. I hope and pray that this will be a lesson we will all remember.
I do remember when my uncle Marc was over there but I barely remember the service project ( probably cause I was young and didn't really care about that stuff).. whoops. PEOPLE THIS VIDEO WILL CHANGE YOUR LIVES. I'M SO GLAD SHE SENT THIS VIDEO TO ME. WHENEVER I'M THINKIN I HAVE IT ROUGH AND I NEED A PICK ME UP I WILL ALWAYS REFER BACK TO THIS MOVIE. YOU WILL CRY YOUR LITTLE EYES SO SO BEFORE YOU PRESS PLAY GO AHEAD AND GRAB YA A TISSUE.. ENJOY!!

Be A LITTLE BETTER:)

I recieved our ward newsletter for the month today and I love one of the quotes they put on there.. I loved it. Thought I would share some of this goodness!
Be A LITTLE BETTER..
Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. (2 corinthians 12:11)
"We are all in this together, all of us, and we have a great work to do. Every teacher can be a better teacher that he or she is today. Every officer can be a better officer than he or she is today. Every father can be a better father. Every mother can be a better mother. Every husband can be a better husband, every wife a better wife, every child a better child. We are on the road that leads to immortality and eternal life and today is a part of it. Let us never forget it."

For Christmas this year it was out turn to spend it with my family. We had it up at our cabin. it was a B-L-A-S-T!! I was a little skeptical at first cause it was Jake's first year with our family for christmas and I wanted him to see how we spent our Christmas growin up but the cabin was a good idea and i'm so glad my parents decided that.

haha Jake is tryin not to show excitement but deep down he really does love mollie. Look at her just lovin jake.. i love how her arm is huggin him! haha

On Christmas Eve tradition is to read the story of Jesus birth. Which I think is very appropriate for this time of year. My dad read it out of the scriptures and then after that Dr had to tell it how he knew it. Well he was a little embarassed to say so he just set the people where they went in the barn...

After the nativity my dad had us all pick our favorite scripture and read it and tell about it. It was an awesome idea dad. It was so fun to hear what people picked and there insites on that. It brought the christmas spirit to the family:)

On Sunday we went over to Gunnison and celebrated our Christmas then. The kids makin a dinasour noise while waitin for dinner to be served.. RRRRRAAAAAAWWWWW!!!

I love Dianes tree*

Singing this cute song at the Dyreng Christmas party!

We also sang the 12 days of christmas but as you sang it yo would have to pass around the cards that said like partridge in a pear tree.. or 8 maids or milkin etc.. So as you sing the song and pass the cards when it comes to that part in the song if you have the card you have to stand up and sing it..

I love this guy.....

We had to tie 2 balloons to our feet and pop them .. the last person who had there balloons left on was the winner winner chicken dinner!

Jake, me, and Jennie all supportin our camo pants!!

Cutest Mason!

If you have never played the game QUELF i suggest you just give er a try.. its hilarious my friends!! I'M NOT SURE THERE IS EVEN A WORD TO DESCRIBE IT! Trav and meag had to sing the national anthem while covering there nose.. haha

Kera had to pretend to be santa and a person from each group had to come over and sit on her lap and tell her what they wanted.. haha alan was playing it up way good!!

This picture is blurry but maddy and kera had to build a fort and stay under until there next turn came around.. haha i told you it was funny and RANDOM!!

Not sure where the other pic is but it was of me and jake makin this funny ugly face and we had to repeat a saying... but you get the drift right.. Hope everyone had a great christmas. I will post about new years later so stay tuned.........
