Merry Christmas!! 2010
Nanna with Paisley-
Christmas break was a BLAST! We were able to spend a week and a half split between both our families! It was so fun to get to spend so much time with everyone and to enjoy the time and not worry about getting back to work or drill team. Thanks for all the great memories everyone!
- Can I just say I have THE BEST neighbors in the world! Sunday before Christmas The Grahams (not pictured) held a yummy Christmas dinner at their house. I wish we could be neighbors forever. Every single one of them would do anything for us and already have. Were so blessed to know such great, genuine, people. We have such good memories with all of these people. Thanks for all do. Love you ALL!
-This year we spent Christmas at the Dyrengs. Diane always makes Christmas so fun and MAGICAL! The Thursday before Christmas we did a service project as a family. We went around to the Grandparents houses and gave them a laundry basket full of dinners that they could freeze and warm them up when they wanted them. Since their getting up their in age its easier to go out and eat instead of making something. Such a good idea I thought to whosever idea it was. We sang carols to them as they opened the door. I think its so awesome for our nieces and nephews to experience these good acts of service while they are young and especially to their great grandparents. I can honestly say that I have never met one of my great grandparents let alone know their names. These kids are so lucky to not only know them or their names but to actually get to interact with them and get to know well who they are. I'm so grateful to be married into such an amazing family. There is so much love in this family that I can't even talk about them without tearing up. I love everyone individually so much and cant imagine what live would be without each and everyone of them. Thanks for keeping the spirit and spirit of Christmas alive in all of you! As for the picture of Diane climbing the ladder-- Jake made that ladder for Diane from all the kids and when she opened it they all made her climb it.. hahaha it was so funny. The boys do love their mother:) Way to be a good sport Diane!
- My bestfriend EVER Amanda was in K town for Christmas. It has been since last years Christmas that I have seen her. Her and her husband Cleve live in Texas so they don't get to make it out here as much as we would all like. Let me tell you a little bit about this girl ( I may or may not be crying) She is AMAAZING. I am not even sure if that word even does justice. She is not just one of those girls that you grow up with and then after highschool you never see again. We haven't been able to talk like we should but everytime we do talk we pick up right where we left off and its the best conversation in the world. We met in the summer before 1st grade. Her family moved to Kanosh just a block away from me. It was "Pink Day" the day we met ( I'm not even sure what that is anymore cause Fillmore hasn't celebrated it in years). I had gone down with my cousin Stacia to meet them. Amanda and I were wearin the same Jelly shoes and from that day on we were inseperable- We did everything together and I have so many memories with her. We played barbies, swam in uncle phils pool and ate grilled cheese sandwiches and would laugh so hard and loud that her sister Sam could hear us from their house -which at this time was 4 blocks away- we played softball together, our rental house was the half mark between our house so we would always meet their and then walk on to my house or hers, I remember the time I got my heart broken by this kid that I liked and we were in mandas room and she sat their and soothed me while I cried and listened to " I'm all outta love" haha now I look back and just laugh-- whats life all about right? , when she got her cage on her leg I got the opportunity of caring hers books and lunch tray, we did Sparkettes together, did Drill Team together, were captains together, went to every church activity together, graduated together, but best of all we spent 11 years together. Not alot of people have a best friend like I did.. and I'm so sorry people miss out on that. I have never met anyone like her and of course you don't realize their aren't more people like her when you graduate and go to college and meet a whole new set of friends.. nope not like Amanda! One of a kind and I miss her so much. I'm so proud of the beautiful women she has become inside and out. She has gone so far with life and I just adore her and Cleve. Their such a happy couple and make the best of everything. I'm so glad I got to spend 15 minutes with her over Christmas. I know she had limited time with her family and cleves and I'm so glad she took a minute to come see me. I hope one day we can somewhat live by each other and have our kids grown up together. I love you Manda and am so grateful for you and for the true and real friendship I have with you. I wish to this day that we would have videoed our lives together and all of fun times and talks. Nobody laughs with me at the things you would laugh at with me. Can't wait to see you again.. Lets talk soon.. I love you a million saltine crackers in my ice cream bowl.
-For New Years we spent it at my cabin with my parents, sister, Jared, Shannon, Brogen, Ryan and Bri. We got to spend 4 days up their and we had a blast. Ryan and Bri are still living in New Mexico and their HAVING A BABY!! I can't! The night before they were goin to come they called all of us and said that Bri wouldn't be coming because she was sick.. what what you say? Yep a good kind of sick... I BEGGED her to come and she did.. and I love her! I love spending time with my brothers and their wives and cute kids! I love that picture of Bri holding Paisley while they nap together. PRICELESS! On New Years Eve we played games and had to set up our homeade table out of mattress for my sister Camille. She had popped her other knee out and dance practice and had popped it out again at the cabin... she will get surgery soon but is taking a risk and is goin to dance at State thats coming up. So grateful for my amazing family and for all the love and support they give my little family. Happy New years!

Labor story-
ON OUR WAY TO THE HOSPITAL!!!!!!
Just enjoying the epidural and anxious to meet this little girl-- i love how fat my face is !!
I call this one her "mug shot" lol
Jake looks just a little tired huh??!!0
Her first bath...
She loves getting her hair washed:)
I have been getting lots of request for an update.. so peeps out there.. this is for ( well mostly me).
Can I just start with how much I love this baby girl? She has been so fun and such a good baby- I can't believe she is 5 weeks today. Well actually I can believe it but when I think about it I can't believe I have a 5 week old. She had been a good baby so far- she mostly sleeps all day and mostly all night except for her waking up every 2 hours to eat but I don't mind cause she needs to be fattened up. Before you know it she will be my little oinker. As of last wed she was weighing in at ( you ready for this?)........ 7 pounds 7 ounces. WAHOO!! She is just barely startin to stare at you and smile just a little bit. Its so stinkin cute. She is really alert to noises and I have takin her to 2 competitions and she slept through all of it so the loud music didn't bother her at all.. I pray that she is not deaf now- if you have ever been to a drill team competition you know what I'm talking about:) I absolutely love being and Jake and I are having so much fun with her!
Now for the labor story- The doc told me that if I haven't had her by Nov 22 then he would induce me earlier cause of Thanksgiving. So on Monday the 22nd at 12:05 am we headed on over to the hospital. We don't live more than 3 minutes away from the hospital so the drive wasn't bad at all.. lol.. it was so surreal . I just kept making the comment to Jake about how surreal this is. When we walked out of our house I was like next time I see this place we will have little Pais with us. As we walked into the hospital I was getting butterflies but I was feeling really calm.. and huge! Did I mention I felt HUGE??!! We went on down to Labor and Delievery where they got me my room and I got changed and everything. They put a cervic softener in me about 12:45 and said that they would check me in 3 hours and if I hadn't dialated at all they would be me another one and if that didn't work 3 hours after that.. then they would start me on Pitocin. Well during the first 3 hours I just kinda laid there. I kept goin in and out of sleep and I didn't have any pains at all. Well at 3 they checked me again and said I was only at a 2+.. let me remind you that I went in there at a 2. ... so I was hardly makin any process and I knew that I probably wouldn't be having this baby until like 4 pm.... ahhhhhhhhhh! So they decided to give me another cervic softener and then right after that I started having some pains that were starting to get umbearable.. and the lady was like can you feel that your having a really hard contraction.. I could feel it but it wasn't that bad but they were getting umcomfortable and I was like they are startin to get a little hurty. By that time (5 am) I was dialated to a 4 and said I could get my epidural- so I really only have to feel those hurty contractions for about a half hour.. and they weren't even that bad. So they gave me an epidural and oh my gosh --- HEAVEN!! Seriously its the best.. I'm not big into medicines and stuff and I rarely even take Ibuprofen for a headache but I will ALWAYS get an epidural. World of difference... so bout 2 hours later (7 am) they checked me again and I was at a 5 so I was slowly progressing but at least I was progressing. My doc had come in right before he went in to do a c-section to check on me and I said everything was goin great. Well 20 minutes went by and they decided to check me again but because the screen said I was having some major contractions so when they check me I was at an 8--- holy freakin cow.. I had dialated 3 centimeters in 20 minutes. They nurse was like well mom and dad you will have a baby before noon.. YAY!! That was when I called my mom ( she had her bags packed and everything she was just waiting for the call) and said I was at an 8 so to get in the car and head down cause I was goin fast. Well with in the hour she check me again and I was at a 10-- from what I understood I thought when you were at a ten it was like " call the doctor hurry"-- but after she said I was at a 10 she went over to the computer and did some things on it and took her own sweet time.. she was in no hurry at all. The nurses got me all ready to push- ALSO.. I didn't know that the doctor isn't with you when you push.. the nurses do everything and then when the baby is right there they will call the doc and he hurries and runs down and then you have the baby.. anyways so I pushed for about 40 minutes which seems like a long time but they said the average is 30 min-3 hours.. i was hoping I wasn't in the 3 hour range because I was thinkin I would die.. So it took me 40 mins to push but my contractions were still far apart so we kept having to wait for one so I could push.. I pushed about 6 sets of 3 and she was right there!!! They called Dr. Gatherum down and I gave another push and out little Paisley came at 9:38 am. SO FREAKIN AWESOME!! My first reaction was like thats it? That is labor.. I could totally do it again tomorrow!! I loved holdin her right when she came out.. she was so little and when they told me she was only 5 lbs 6 oz I was shocked! This couldn't be my baby--- which that is so unusual anyways cause she was 4 days late!! I was so glad to have her there finally- My mom arrived 10 minutes after she was born and came in and we cried together. Jake called his mom and she couldn't handle it so she called Allen down the farm and said we have to go right now and meet our new grand girl... My dad arrived 40 minutes after with my sister. I was so glad to see them. Right after she came out Jake and I looked at each other and cried and we had a moment.. it was so cute! It took awhile to get her cleaned up and she actually wasn't breathing really good. She kept grunting which is a sign of not getting enough oxygen and her nose kept flaring. I kept seeing the nurse talk to the other one and they were like whispering so I was like ok.. something is not right. They turned to me and said they might have to take her to the NICU so I wasn't really scared but I just told them what ever they had to do. Before they went to go take her away they let me hold her one last time and they laid her on my skin to skin and actually at this time my body couldn't stop shaking which some people after labor get the shakes just cause their body is in shock and thats what I had cause my body was really hot but I could stop shaking.. well once they put her on me she stopped grunting and started breathing and I stopped shaking.. it was the coolest thing ever. What a blessing-- we just needed to be together. So then they didn't have to take her back anymore. By that time Jakes parents came in and they all got to hold her and the nurses wanted me to be put in my postpardum room so we had everyone move to the room while I tried to get up out of the bed to move also. I stood up and was sooooo nausous. I had to sit down and i felt like i was goin to throw up.. which I did. They brought me a little something to eat and drink so I wasn't so light headed and thinking that would help. So I got up.. went to the bathroom and started to throw up again and I peed my pants.. even after I went to the bathroom.. it sucked.. I had to get a whole new gown and everything. I ended up throwing up about 7 times. It was awful. I had no idea how things would be with my body after I had her. I didn't like it.... I would say the after pain and just not feelin myself was way worse then the actual labor.. Now that its been 5 weeks I feel great.. I hate that I have to wait 6 weeks to excercise.. its killin me. I am so ready and excited to "hopefully" get back in shape and lose weight! As much as I hate to say this I am so glad to not be pregnant anymore. I really look up to those people who love being pregnant because I didn't.... i'm so gratefull for what it has given me though.
We ended up having to stay at the hospital for 2 days because of how small Paisley was and because I may have gone into labor 2 days before I had her cause when doc G came in to break my water he said there was no water to break so he said that was way unusual. I thought that maybe my water broke 2 days earlier but I didn't have any contractions after that so I didn't think anything of it. So they said if that was the case usually they like to get the babies out after their water breaks no later than 24 hours and if my water did break it was 48 hours ago so they had to test Paisley to make sure she didn't have any infections. She passed so thank goodness. It felt so good to finally get home. On the 2 minute drive home I was so nervous. I wanted Jake to drive like 2 miles an hour and if anyone pulled out I wanted them to do a half of mile in front of us.. Once we got home we packed up things to head to Kanosh for Thanksgiving. I had no idea what to pack because we didn't know what we would need for little paisley so we just packed up everything.. It definetly takes so much longer getting packed up to go places. So many people thought we were crazy for goin anywhere for thanksgiving but we couldn't just stay home.. Life has to go on plus I was excited to show everyone her-- It was a blast.
I'm so glad she had a safe arrival. That was one of my biggest fears growing up is Labor. I can't believe I have accomplished that. The whole pregnancy thing and how a baby arrives is a miracle.. Very well thought out. Our Lord is a very smart man. We love our little Paisley and can't imagine our lives without her. Jake and I have had so much fun laughin at her funny little things that she does. Everyone says she looks exactly like Jake. Neither I or him can see anyone so who knows.. It will be so fun to see her grow and what she will be like.. The END!!

What's this due date tryin?!
I love how the crib turned out! One of my good friends Amee Gleave gave it to me and it was a really pretty wood which I felt bad painting over it but i'm so glad of the way it turned out--The only thing we bout in this whole room is the rockin chair and ottoman and half of the car seat and stroller. Everything else was givin to us, made for us, or I had lying around the house.. Were so blessed. Thanks everyone who contributed!!
As you can see I got SPOILED at all my showers. I barely had anymore room to put anything. I can't wait to use everything I got. I wouldn't have been able to do it with out all the awesome gifts from my loved ones:) I love you all! Don't you love the dresser and little night stand-- yep thank my mom. It use to be my grandpa Blads and then when he died earlier this year she snatched it and painted it for me/paisley.
I traded with a client and she made these awesome vinyls- I love them! Thanks Kellie!!!
Thanks tinkerbell:)
Yep that's right! Its November 18th and I have no baby.. still in the womb. I totally thought she would be here by now but looks like she takes after her dad but luckily she wont be 2 weeks late like he was. I thought she was goin to be 2 weeks early like her mamma--- but maybe she will meet in the middle and come later on today! WAHOOOOOO! I would love that-- and so would Jake:) So I know I said in my last post that my next post would be PAISLEYS DEBUT- well sorry I just had to squeeze in one more little post. I thought I would show you pics of her room and a shot of me more for my purpose.
Well 2 days ago my best friend Shayla had her baby and I'm so so happy for her and can't wait to meet little Lybee. It made me want to meet Paisley so much more after hearing her talk about her sweet Lybee. Its been so good to talk to her while she has been in the hospital and kind of prepare me for my stay. Like I have said in recent post its been so nice to have someone right there goin through the same things as you in your pregnancy within days apart of each other. I can't wait for Paisley and Lybee to meet! So yesterday I woke up and I was just pist! I was so depressed all day and goin to the doctor didn't help at all.. except for this GOOD NEWS-- I'm dilated to a 2 now AND because its Thanksgiving next week they are goin to INDUCE me this coming Sunday night at Midnight. I am so excited! Of course at the time I was like still that far away ( only 4 days). Then after I left I got thinkin and i'm like well she could still come anytime but for sure she will be here MONDAY THE 22!! So I have tried to stay really postive and just really enjoy these next few days with Jake alone and enjoying my sleep, not having to change diapers, not having hurty nipples, and just doin whatever I want when I want. Monday still seems so far away but I have actually got a drill team craft fair this weekend that Ill be at all weekend so that will be nice to take my mind off having her. We are so excited and can barely stand it- we can't wait to see what she will look like. I can't believe I have been pregnant for 40 weeks- it has been life changing but I wouldn't take it back for anything. We are so ready for this next step in life and can't wait to see where Paisley takes her life and ours. Can't wait to be a mom!! Now for reals the next post will for sure be here debut so stay tuned.......Thanks to everyone who showed love and kindness through this pregnancy.. We love you!
Our dear little Paisley girl,
Daddy and I are so excited for you to arrive. We think about you all the time and wander what kinda of person you will be. Will you have brown eyes like me or gorgous blue/green eyes like your dad? There is no question that you will have curly blonde hair at least when your little anyways. We can't wait to see what your personality will be like. So many things we think about how you will be. You are already such a blessing to us. Its been so fun to have you grow inside mommies tummy and to see and feel you get bigger. We LOVED it when daddy would tickle you and you would kick back. Mommy is goin to be so glad to have you out of her tummy but she will miss the bond that you guys grew while you were inside of her. You will change our lives for the better.... you already have. Mommy can't believe that the lord would trust her this much to send her one of his chosen daughters. Her and daddy will do everything they can in this life to help you return safely back to him so we can all be a family together forever. We can't wait to raise you and to see what you will become... we hope we won't dissapoint. Paisley we love you so so much and can't wait to meet you!! Please arrive here safely and don't give us any scares. LOVE YOU BABY GIRL:)
Are these not the cutest things EVER?!! Such a cute idea and easy to make-
The most amazing women ever! So glad I get to call them mom and sisters! Thanks for all your hard work put into this day.. I love you all and can't wait til we can be together again!
Love of my life right here.. Jakes cousin Mckell---coolest girl you will ever meet!
Yummy food as always! We had homeade keesh(spelling?) salad, fruit kabobs, 3 different kinds of muffins which I practically devoured them all, and those cute sucker, chocolate balls.
Cutest idea ever!! Thanks Deanne and girls!!
Grandma Lois made this cute quilt- As you will see... Paisley will be
drownded with a million, cute blankets!
Cutest quilt EVER that Diane took time and made for me! I love everything about it and can't wait to use it.. Thanks so much Diane.. you are the best!!
Cute little Paisley blanket that Grandma Dyreng made for me- she also gave me that cute book the Maddy is holding. I can't wait to be able to fill that book up with pics of Paisley and her information.
We had bunco at my house for Halloween this year and we always dress up and its SO FUN! I always love to see what people will come as... This eye was of course Jake's invention. He did awesome on it and I have gotten so many compliments on it.. thank goodness for his creative mind!
Jake and I decided to go out one day and just to our own little version of "belly shots". I just wanted a couple so I could look back on and put in Paisleys book.. Their not the greatest but they were FREE:)

..."I believe in the family where there
is a husband who regards his
companion as his greatest asset and
treats her accordingly;
where there is a wife who looks upon
her husband as her anchor and strength.
The cultivation of such a home
requires effort and energy,
forgiveness and patience,
Love,
and, endurance, and sacrifice;
but it is worth all of these and more."....
